New paintings by Mark Stopforth, featuring Meadow 100: a composite wall piece of 100 original paintings of individual flower-heads in oil on paper. Each painting is unique, made in a vigorous, intuitive and expressive manner that captures the ephemeral nature of each flower-head, and each portrays a moment of resilience and beauty that is fast being lost to memory. In the last 80 years the UK has lost 97% of its wildflower meadows, 7.5 million acres, along with the biodiversity they support. Meadows can be grown in the smallest of gardens; find out more from the RHS, Plantlife and the National Trust.
Private view Friday 6 November, 6–8pm. All welcome.
